Welcome to the KAUSAP FUN RUN 2026. This guide contains everything you need to know to prepare for race day—from kit claiming to course rules—so you can focus on running, connecting, and enjoying the experience with your KauSAP. community.

1. Event Overview

The KAUSAP FUN RUN promotes an active lifestyle while encouraging runners to connect, network, and build community through shared movement and conversation.
Whether you are a first-time runner or an experienced athlete, this event is designed to be safe, inclusive, and enjoyable.

2. Important Dates & Times

Race Day: March 22, 2026 (Sunday)

Venue: Ortigas Center

Assembly Time: 4:00 AM

Gun Start: 5:00 AM

3. Race Categories & Cut-Off Times

3K – Fun Run / Walk

  • Beginner-friendly

  • Walking allowed

  • Cut-off time: 1 hour

5K – Open Category

  • Recreational runners

  • Cut-off time: 1 hour 30 minutes

10K – Competitive Category

  • Experienced runners

  • Cut-off time: 2 hours
     

​Runners who exceed the cut-off time may be asked to move to the sidewalk or be transported to the finish area for safety.

  • Race bib

  • Safety pins

  • Sponsor items (if any)

  • For Delivery: March 1,2026

  • For Kausap Office Pick up: March 1,2026

  • Onsite (On the day) Pick Up: March 22,2026 – 2:00 am

Claiming Requirements

  • Valid government-issued ID

  • Registration confirmation (printed or digital)
     

Proxy Claiming

Allowed with:

  • Authorization letter

  • Copy of participant’s ID

  • Copy of proxy’s ID

5. What to Wear & Bring

Required

  • Official race bib (must be worn visibly on the front)

Recommended

  • Comfortable running shoes

  • Lightweight clothing

  • Cap or visor

  • Personal hydration bottle

  • Energy gels or snacks (if needed)

Prohibited

  • Pets

  • Bicycles, scooters, or skates

  • Baby strollers on the race route

6. Race Course & Route

The KAUSAP FUN RUN features a flat, urban road course within Ortigas Center.

Course Features

  • Clearly marked routes

  • Kilometer markers

  • Trained road marshals and volunteers

  • Traffic management and road closures

  • Hydration stations positioned along the route

A detailed course map and route advisory will be released before race day.
 

7. Hydration, Medical & Safety Support

Hydration

  • Water stations at designated points

  • Water at the finish line

Medical Support

  • Medical tents at the start and finish

  • Roving medical personnel along the route

  • Ambulance on standby

Participants feeling unwell should stop immediately and seek assistance from the nearest marshal or medic.

8. Baggage Deposit

  • Supervised baggage deposit area available

  • Use provided baggage tags

  • Do not leave valuables

  • Organizers are not liable for loss of personal items

9. Race Day Program

Tentative Schedule

  • 4:00 AM – Assembly & warm-up

  • 5:00 AM – 10K gun start

  • 5:15 AM – 5K gun start

  • 5:30 AM – 3K gun start

  • 7:30 AM – Program & awarding

  • 8:30 AM – Event close

Program schedule may be adjusted as necessary.
 

10. Awards & Recognition

Awards will be given to:

  • Top Male and Female finishers – 5K

  • Top Male and Female finishers – 10K

  • Top 3 Finishers – 3k,5k,10k 

Special recognition may be awarded to:

  • Largest participating group

  • Most spirited team

  • Community partners

11. Rules & Runner Etiquette

  • Race bib must be worn at all times

  • No bib swapping or transfers

  • Follow marshal and organizer instructions

  • Keep right unless overtaking

  • Dispose of trash at designated areas only

Failure to follow rules may result in disqualification.
 

12. Weather & Event Policy

  • The race will proceed rain or shine​

  • In case of extreme weather, organizers may delay, shorten, or cancel the race for safety

  • Announcements will be made on-site and through official channels
